This course addresses the basic electronics concepts and the concepts of making machines that can operate autonomously (Robots). Students will study and evaluate the working of basic components of electronics and use their own ideas for creating a project


Needs Of Robotics



Our future depends on our ability to educate our children in the way the world works. We need them to be curious. We're going to compete by being the inventors, by being those that challenge the status quo and ask, "Why?" In order to do that, you need to have an understanding about the mechanics of the universe. There's a magical time when you're a child where your curiosity is piqued. Everything is exciting, and to try to merely keep our educational system from destroying that innate curiosity is something we need to do, and I feel like robots are a bit magical in that regard. Most any 3- or 4-year-old will be able to give you a disturbing amount of information about dinosaurs, whales and robots.




We don't do dinosaurs or whales, we'll leave that to others, but we do robots, and so the opportunity to reach out and show that which we do, talk about how it works, use it as a forum for introducing science and technology, engineering, math concepts is something that we're unusually positioned to do, and thus put a lot of energy into doing it. ROBOTICS is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. The design of a given robotic system will often incorporate principles of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and computer science (particularly artificial intelligence).

SCHEDULE FOR ROBO-TRICKS LEVEL 1

This is an intermediate level course offering more challenges and excitement to students. They will not only make robotics based projects but also learn about automation and build projects like automatic toll booths, temperature monitoring systems etc.

Robotics Intermediate LEVEL 2

This level will introduce students to advance open source sensors. They will make projects like Gas Leakage Detector, Weather Monitoring System, Smart Irrigation System etc.
